Definition: Click-through rate (CTR) is the percentage of individuals viewing a web page who click on a specific advertisement that appears on the page. It refers to the ratio of users who click on a specific link to the number of total users who view a page, email, or advertisement.

Example: CTR of a banner that had 100 views/impressions and had only one click on it will give you a CTR of 1%

Business Insight: CTR is often used as a measure to see how well an online advertisement has performed. CTR is a key quantitative performance measure used by digital marketers.
