Definition: Tactics are all activities involved in the implementation of a strategy.
Example: When the CEO decided that the firm needed to be more visible in the market, their tactic for achieving that was the hiring of a reputed PR firm.
Business Insight: Great strategy at the CXO level is not enough - the right tactics for execution of the strategy is required from middle management to ensure business success.
