The digital age is all about moving beyond engagement into the realm of experience. Retail organisations across the world are employing various technologies such as IoT, analytics, big data, artificial intelligence, social media, and design thinking to offer unforgettable experiences to external customers. Now, the same technologies are making their way inside organisations and it is upon the HR teams to harness their potential to satisfy internal customers. 

The time has come to deconstruct old beliefs, systems and processes and embrace a digital-first mind-set and start thinking about how to best adopt digital technologies to offer an unmatched employee experience. The Retailers Association of India (RAI) is proud to present, ‘Manning Modern Retail (MMR) 2017’ - an HR conclave focused on developing the retail industry’s ideas & capabilities around people practices. 

The theme of the conclave is “Reimagine. Redesign. Recode – HR Paradigms for the Digital Age”. MMR 2017 will focus on strategies for seamlessly ushering in the next wave of transformation in retail HR.

HR Awards
A major highlight of the event are the HR awards that recognise excellence at an organisational & individual level.

HR Impact Award - To identify and award an organisation that has successfully executed or implemented a digital innovation in HR space in the 2016- 2017 financial year. This idea can be a first in the retail industry, an effective best practice from a different industry, which has been successfully transitioned into the retail industry; or it can also be a new innovation- an idea or practice or process improvement, which has been implemented in the organisation and has led to significant positive change in the way, HR functions in a retail organisation.


Emerging Young Leader in HR - As the name suggests, this second Award, aims to recognise young emerging leaders working in the HR functions within retail companies. These emerging leaders, are dynamic individuals (less than 35 years of age as on 31st March 2017), who with their innovative, ‘can-do’ spirit have made a huge impact in the way, HR functions in their respective organisations and are leading change in the way HR is perceived. These emerging leaders are those who have proven to be game-changers in their organisations in the 2016- 2017 financial year. They will have to be nominated for this award by the CHRO/Head of HR of the Organisation.

Manning Modern Retail 2017 will be held on 13
th September 2017 at the Westin, Mumbai.
