India has seen an unprecedented growth of entrepreneurs in recent years. These young entrepreneurs are identifying and solving problems for their customers and community. One such enterprising duo is that of Ms Ripple Nagpal and Mr Priyash Nigam, founders of Zergon Bizupport. Ripple is a trained lawyer and company secretary, and Priyash has worked as a marketer for big names like Volvo-Eicher, Wipro and Practo. In 2017, the two young professionals decided to combine their expertise to help small and medium enterprises with their legal, compliance, marketing, research and branding needs.

Watch this video to learn about their entrepreneurial journey.

In conversation with GlobalLinker (GL), Ms Ripple Nagpal (RN) shares more about their business, challenges and the vision to take their enterprise to the next level.

GL: Tell us about your business and how it came into being.

RN: Our company, Zergon Bizsupport, was started to cater to the marketing, legal and compliance needs of SMEs and startups. The term ‘Bizsupport’ in the company name signifies the support we extend to businesses. We started our business journey in 2017, with the sole purpose of addressing the lack of knowledge most entrepreneurs have in establishing and scaling their business.

Mr Priyash, who is a marketer by heart and qualification, and I collaborated to fulfil this mission. Priyash has a master’s degree in international marketing from University of Leeds (UK) and has worked for companies like Volvo-Eicher, Wipro, Practo and Knowlarity. I am a first-generation lawyer in my family, with a company secretary degree as well.

GL: What is the USP of your business?

RN: We offer high quality services at low cost. Since most start-ups and early stage businesses need to spend frugally, our services are designed to give them the best quality within the most reasonable prices in the market. We follow a three-step methodology in providing services to our clients, which we call 'U.A.S'. 'U' stands for understanding the business, 'A' stands for analysing the problem by going to the root cause and conducting necessary research and 'S' stands for an effective solution.

GL: What are the challenges you have faced in establishing your business?

RN: I would say that understanding companies and their unique problems to the very depth has proven to be a real challenge. But, if we look at it the other way around, this challenge has paved the way for us to understand their problems better and hence to solve them. The biggest challenge that we faced in the initial one year of starting our company was acquiring customers. But eventually, due to our consistent efforts and flawless deliveries, we overcame this. Client loyalty comes from client satisfaction and that is what our focus has always been. Our approach is entirely customer-centric, where our sole objective is to solve the problems faced by our clients.

We strongly believe that there will always be roadblocks and challenges in your path. But if as founders we can transform problems into opportunities, we have already won half the battle!

GL: What has been your greatest learning as an entrepreneur?

RN: Your niche as a business can only be sorted out through a lot of experimentation, juggling etc. It is important to spend the first year in honing your business offerings and skills to create a replicable model that would then accelerate your business growth.

GL: How do you believe GlobalLinker benefits business owners?

RN: GlobalLinker is a business social networking tool, which every SME or startup should utilise to create a social/digital footprint. What sets GlobalLinker apart from other business networking platforms is the fact that it is SME-friendly and provides dual benefits of exchanging information by way of articles and discussions and generating good quality genuine leads. The most unique feature of GlobaLlinker is the display of product/service catalogue with pricing. It is a good platform for connecting with like-minded individuals and can have tremendous benefit for business owners, if utilised optimally.

The TradeConnect event, organised by GlobalLinker, was a first of its kind networking event at a global level. I was fortunate to be selected as part of the Indian delegate at the GlobalLinker TradeConnect event at Singapore. I was the youngest delegate from India, and I was overwhelmed to be given the opportunity to witness and experience the power of SME networking first-hand at TradeConnect. The impactful sessions held by established industry leaders instilled in the delegates the confidence to aim high and also inspired us to focus more on customer experience and satisfaction.  My personal interactions with entrepreneurs who came from different walks of life, made me realise the importance of GlobalLinker as a networking platform and how much it can be utilised for bolstering the growth of my business and the business of fellow entrepreneurs who are on the platform. After coming back to India, I was able to onboard two clients, who were also there at the TradeConnect event in Singapore.

GL: What is your big business dream?

RN: We want to see Zergon Bizsupport listed on NASDAQ and amongst the Fortune 500 companies of the world.

GL: What is your message to aspiring entrepreneurs?

RN: Don't ever be afraid of failures and committing mistakes. If you have chosen to be an entrepreneur, you must be ready to work while everyone in the world is sleeping. Network as much as possible and don't feel shy about talking to people. Always believe in yourself. You might mess up initially and end up losing a fight. But the key is to never give up or give in to a bad situation. Unless we make mistakes, we will not learn. After all we are all humans. Remember that failure is not the opposite of success, it is a part of it.
